They Did It !!

Hey Everyone!
Well the big day finally arrived and everything was so perfect! Not one teeny issue or snag in the whole day or evening. {I thought it was a little HOT & Humid, but just my opinion}. Our rehearsal at the venue was quick and after we drove to Laguna Beach for the fun part. Dinner was so yummy and eating oceanside is always the best.  I'll add a few photos - taken from my phone so pardon the flaws. The real ones will be a treat, I'm sure!
The Happy Couple, taken from the balcony.

The Beautiful Bride, Randi * I just LoVe her !!
A Bite of Cake - Instagram style.
The cake from "Nothing Bundt Cakes" and little Bundtini's for the masses.
*Randi and Steven*
Just a little excited!!
Okay, I could keep adding but I'd probably make you crazy.  I'll add the professional photos when they come in.  I've seen a few on FB and they are amazing! The photographers were great. The kids are on their honeymoon in Kauai and gone for 8 days.  Their photos are also amazing... but of course paradise would be!
And just think, our family is fortunate enough to experience another wedding in just 8 weeks! My youngest son is tying the knot October 6th.  We'll be in {local} wine country: Temecula & they've reserved a vineyard for their ceremony. I bet it won't be as hot and humid!!  I hope! I only "complain" because I had just chopped 10-12 inches off my hair about 24 hrs before Steven's wedding.  No, that wasn't my master plan. Everyone knows you'll have some extra spring in your hair after a fresh cut.  Let's just say, I felt real springy!  Hahaha.

** August 4th **

Hey Everyone!

Happy Summertime and whatever else this day and month means for you.  Olympics? BBq's, Sunshine!  Today is a memorable day for a few reasons past and present.
Today my three boys took off for Palm Springs for a two-day and one-night bachelor party for my oldest son.  Countdown less than 6 days for the BiG DaY!
The Guys  8.4.12
The Famous Dinosaurs on the way to the desert.  You can see part of his face behind Steven
The boys have been texting me pictures and partial sentences.... hummm, guess they're having a great time!  The place in the above photo is special to our family.  We've been going to Palm Springs since before the boys were born and started taking them as babies.  We'd often stop for a date shake and a bag of nuts at Hadley's and of course, the Dinosaurs.  When we went {back in the day} it was just a lot of dirt and those big guys.  Now it's all commercialized.  I don't even recognize that sign my son is standing in front of!  There is a gift shop now and I think they probably charge to look inside Dino.  Such a shame... but still a kick for them to stop by today.

Random Runaway Bride
This third photo just makes me laugh.  I will keep laughing if I stare at it.  I found it on my Facebook news feed and had to grab it.  I know, my sense of humor isn't always pristine but it is hard to please everyone, right?   So I had to share with you all.

Something I'm making...
In closing, one last picture...  above...  It's killing me to have to wait to post what I've been working on so I cropped out a little part to show you.   Not sure what those little blue things are because they don't appear on the real thing!  The center is one of three jewels  and around it I added sequins, clear glass seed beads and Svarowski pearls.  The Bride loves it and I think it turned out pretty cool, too.

Hey Everyone!
So I've been a little M.I.A. lately... but with a good excuse!  The first wedding is just around the corner.  I thought I'd take a moment to update while waiting for some hair product to work it's magic on this head of mine :-)
Every spare minute, I've been working on my sweet, soon to be daughters wedding veil and sash for her dress.  I can't post pictures yet {it's a big secret!} but I sure will once they've set sail on their honeymoon. I'm hand beading the sash and it's so pretty! I knew I loved beads and bling but when you add them one glass seed bead at a time, you really grow fond.  Actually, I suppose the feelings could go either way. Hand work does take a long time but it's also rather relaxing. For the most part, it's pretty portable too, you can take it anywhere.  Well, maybe not this particular project but most others.  I'm working with clear thread, teeny glass seed beads, clear sequins, beautiful Swarowski pearls as well as several other hard to see and itsy-bitsey beautiful treasures.
The veil is single layer elbow length. I added the little Swarovski pearls along the lower edge. It looks so delicate!
My son who lives in NY, will be back out a week from today {Yay}. He's the best man and also in charge of the bachelor party which will be a week from tomorrow.
Everything is coming together so nicely but of course I will shop until the last minute to make sure I've got the best dress ever.  And shoes!  The poor UPS man has been delivering shoes for a few weeks now.  I'm sure I won't keep them all but a girl has got to have choices!   Plus I do have another wedding just 8 short weeks after this one. And dresses, can you ever have too many dresses? I don't think so.
The timer has sounded...  more later.  Hope everyone is having a great summer.

It's Officially Summer & a winner to the giveaway!

Hey Everyone!
I hope all my USA friends had a great July 4th yesterday. We had a yummy BBQ with family and some pool time. I'm loving this great weather and soaking up the vitamin D the natural way. I love summer. Going to Baseball games {GO Angels!}, the OC Fair, The Sawdust Festival, the beach, long days... lots of great memories.  Today is an especially great day because my Son in NY is actually boarding the plane now and flying home for a week! I've been having such withdrawals and I'm beyond bursting with excitement to see him tonight. I told him that I'll probably just hug and stare at him the entire week he is home. This is heaven to me, having all three boys together!  I'm so glad that he is having this great experience and the time of his life at 26 years old but truth be told, I'll be even happier when his job brings him back home!!  He's a true Cali boy at heart and he gives NY a few years.  I can handle that :-)   .... to all you Moms with young ones, I remember those days like it was yesterday. The days may go by slow but look how fast the years fly by. It amazes me that my 3 little guys are all in their 20's now. Two getting married really soon, one of them just bought a house ~ five short miles from me.  All I did was blink and they are all grown up!

Anne, over at ZEPHYR HILL, announced the winner of the giveaway to my shop.  Sherry S. won a $30 gift certificate!  Congratulations, Sherry!!!  And a million thanks to Anne and her wonderful blog ZEPHYR HILL for all the work she did.  She's amazing! Be sure to check out her reviews of great products and there is always a giveaway going on.  So much fun !!!

I hope everyone is enjoying family and having a great summer so far!

Count Down...

Hey Everyone,
My boys are getting closer to their big day and excitement is in the air!  My oldest son is tying the knot on 8.10.12.  Less than two months away...  My soon to be daughter had a Bridal Shower this past Saturday. Ohmygosh, it was SO much fun.  I'm not one for the games.  It seems that by the time you get to my age, you've been to so many showers that you've played all the games that there is to play.  Well, we played one that I never even heard of...
We split into teams of 4 or 5.  One of us was the "Bride" and the rest of the "team" were the dress designers.  Our "fabric" was toilet paper.  This was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Of course we were timed.  My team did not do well.  I think we were in last place.  Our dress was falling apart while the real Bride was "judging" and picking the winner.  I think our dress was more for the wedding night.. ha ha.  Some of the dresses were amazingly awesome.  I love the creativity, even with plain old T.P.

Here is a picture of the Bride to Be.  Aka, my soon to be Daughter!!
It was such a fun day and it's so exciting now that we are in the count down.. the last month & few weeks!
